To determine the appropriate width and height for an inside-mounted window covering, follow these steps:

Measure the exact distance from the inside of the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom (from left to right). Select the minimum of these measurements as the WINDOW WIDTH.

Next, measure the exact distance from the inside of the window frame at the left, middle, and right (from top to bottom). Choose the maximum of these measurements as the WINDOW HEIGHT.

When placing your order, specify the EXACT WINDOW INSIDE WIDTH and EXACT WINDOW INSIDE HEIGHT. Round the numbers as needed. Please note that we will deduct 0.4 inches from the ordered width to ensure a proper fit in your window. A minimum window depth of 2 inches is required.

For outside-mounted window coverings, there are two options:

1. If you want the shade to completely cover the window frame, order the FINAL SHADE WIDTH as the window outer frame width plus an extra 3 to 6 inches. For the FINAL SHADE HEIGHT, order the window outer frame height plus an extra 5 to 10 inches.

2. If you prefer to mount the shade on the surface of the frame, order the FINAL SHADE WIDTH as the window outer frame width, and the FINAL SHADE HEIGHT as the window outer frame height.

Please note that the SIZE YOU ORDER is the FINISHED SHADE SIZE, not the window size. We do not take any deductions for outside-mounted shades.
